Am I a candidate for fertility acupuncture?
Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally, preparing for IVF or IUI, or seeking support for hormone balance, our approach is designed to help at any stage. We work with women, men, and couples to optimize fertility, regulate cycles, and support the body’s ability to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy.
During your consultation, we’ll review your health history, discuss your goals, and determine if our approach is the right fit for your specific case. If we believe we can help, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan. If not, we’ll be honest about that too—we only accept patients we genuinely believe we can help.
When should I start acupuncture if I’m planning IVF or trying to conceive?
Ideally, we recommend starting acupuncture 3–6 months before your planned conception or IVF cycle. This gives us time to regulate your cycle, improve egg and sperm quality, and strengthen your body for pregnancy. However, it’s never too late to start, we support patients at every phase of their journey.
Can acupuncture really improve IVF success rates?
Yes. Studies show that acupuncture can enhance IVF outcomes by improving blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, reducing stress hormones, and supporting a healthy uterine lining. It also helps regulate the nervous system and improve overall resilience—both physically and emotionally. We are also trusted by local fertility clinics, and many patients come to us through referrals while going through IVF or other fertility treatments.

Do you treat male fertility too?
Absolutely. Male fertility is half the equation. We help men improve sperm quality, motility, and hormone balance through acupuncture, frequency-based therapy, and personalized recommendations. Our approach addresses underlying causes and helps support overall reproductive health.
Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy?
Yes, when performed by a specialized acupuncturist like Dr. Andrea. Acupuncture during pregnancy can safely address nausea, fatigue, stress, back pain, headaches, heartburn, and more. Regular treatments also support circulation, reduce the risk of complications, and prepare the body for labor and delivery. At Bodhi we only see patients who are currently in our fertility program during pregnancy.

Is fertility acupuncture covered by insurance?
Insurance coverage is plan-dependent. Some plans cover acupuncture for general health or pain, but fertility-specific care is often excluded.
We are an out-of-network provider, but we provide superbills with treatment and diagnosis codes so you can submit them to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We recommend contacting your provider to verify your benefits.
You can use your HSA or FSA card with us since acupuncture is a covered treatment under those plans.
What if I’ve already tried everything?
Many patients come to us after exhausting all other options. We will only recommend treatment if we believe we can help. We will let you know right away during your consultation.
